Atwima Nwabiagya South MCE grabs Black Star Acclamation Honorary Award

Mr Wisdom Osei Boamah, the Municipal Chief Executive for Atwima Nwabiagya South, has received the Black Star Acclamation Honorary Award 2026 and an Honorary Fellowship Conferment from the World Diplomatic Federation, in collaboration with Rectitude International Mission.

The awards recognise his selfless and hardworking leadership, which has driven community transformation and contributed to global development.

Speaking at the ceremony, the General Superintendent of Rectitude International Mission, Mr. E. Isaac Rockson, said the award was based on Mr. Osei Boamah’s achievements and dedication to service.

He urged Ghanaians to always appreciate and honour their own to help project African values and encourage individual selfless contributions.

He expressed concern about the growing indiscipline in society and called for a crusade against it.

He expressed the view that political power can be won without the use of abusive words and insults adding that our tradition teaches us to be respectful to the elderly and the society.

He urged stakeholders, the clergy, chiefs, and politicians to project Ghana’s black identity wherever they find themselves.

Mr Wisdom Osei Boamah expressed delight at being admitted as a Fellow of the World Diplomatic Federation’s African Millennium Council.

According to him, it was a call to achieve more and that did not take the responsibility lightly. He thanked the World Diplomatic Federation for recognising the work he was doing at the grassroots level.

He said his admission as a fellow of the African Millennium Council Network was an extension of partnership to the people of Atwima Nwabiagya South.

He noted that the fellowship aligned with his mandate as MCE because local government is where policies implemented. As a member of the Council, he pledged to uphold the vision and principles of the World Diplomatic Federation and serve with integrity, accountability, and focus on results.

Mr. Osei Boamah said he would use the platform to promote cooperation between Ghana, the municipality, and counterparts across Africa and the world.

He pledged to build partnerships that will bring development, knowledge, and opportunities to Atwima Nwabiagya South.

He added that he would prioritise youth and community development because “the future of Africa depends on an empowered generation through innovation, creativity, and sustainable development.

He called on stakeholders to turn words into action by sharing expertise, opening networks, and working together to solve cross-border challenges such as climate change, youth unemployment, and sustainable development.
