The Founder and Leader of House of Power Ministries, headquartered at Ahofadiekrom, near Adjamesu in the Bekwai Municipality, Prophet Francis Kwateng and his wife, Mercy Kwateng, have donated two Himla 4×4 pick-up vehicles to the Police.
One of the vehicles was given to the Ashanti South Police Command while the other is for the Ashanti Regional Highway Patrols.
Presenting the vehicles on behalf of the donors, Rev. Charles Nimako, a senior pastor of the Church, said that while Prophet Kwateng continues to pray for God’s guidance for the people of Ghana, he felt prayers alone were not enough.
He, therefore, decided to support the police with the vehicles to enable them to also physically protect the people and the state as a whole.
The Ashanti South Regional Police Commander, DCOP Joseph Hammond Nyaabah, who received the vehicles on behalf of the IGP, thanked the donors for coming to the aid of the police.
He noted that policing is a shared responsibility and that the vehicles will spur the police on to work harder.
“By this donation, patrols are going to be intensified, and for that matter, robbers are going to have it tough and should start running from the jurisdiction,” the Commander said.
He called on individuals and corporate bodies to follow the shining example of Prophet Kwateng and his wife by supporting the police with equipment.
Present at the ceremony were the Deputy Ashanti South Regional Commander, ACP Cephas Arthur, Senior Police Officers, as well as pastors and members of House of Power Ministries.
