Sege Community Co-operative Credit Union Limited (SECCCUL) has opened a new branch in Ashaiman, to provide 24-hour financial security services to customers.
Ashaiman, a vibrant cosmopolitan and commercial town with improved security, has a large number of three-shift public workers who, at any time of the day, perform some financial transactions, Zakari Ahumah Adjovu, the General Manager of the over three-decade-old community co-operative credit union said.
“In addition to the development of the people of Ashaiman, which drives us, SECCCUL will take advantage of the improved security of Ashaiman to start a 24-hour financial service to members at this new branch,” Zakari Adjovu explained.
With its head office at Sege, the capital of the West Ada District, the Ashaiman branch makes it the seventh branch after Kasseh, Anyamam, Akplabanya, Tsopoli and Big Ada, all vibrant business centres in the Greater Accra Region.
Including shareholdings, savings, loans, fixed deposits, mobile banking, mobile money services and life protection and long-term security (LPP&LSI) as some of its simple, safe and reliable products and services, SECCCUL has been the financial spine of customers, consequently bringing relief to all those who do business with them.
Mr. Zakari observed that the strategic siting of SECCCUL’s Ashaiman banking hall would enable customers from Atadeka, Lebanon, Zenu, Katamanso and central Ashaiman to take advantage of the 24-hour financial service.
Besides walking in for business and financial advisory services and free package provided by SECCCUL to customers, Mr. Zakari also encouraged customers to apply for responsible loans to start or grow their businesses “and do well to service their loans promptly for other members to also benefit.”
SECCCUL appealed to the Ashaiman Municipal Assembly to relax its bureaucratic bottlenecks to enable it to rehabilitate the dusty and terrible stretch in front of the banking hall.
“Tarring the stretch will save other residents and businesses in the area,” the General Manager noted.
On his part, Freeman Tsekpo, the MCE for Ashaiman, said Ashaiman as a commercial town is excited to have a private financial business outlet ready to provide 24-hour service, the first of its kind in the municipality.
“This will help transform the town and create more jobs,” Mr. Tsekpo explained.
