Osagyefo Kobina Ntahianka II installed Shama Aboadze Chief

The newly installed Chief for Aboadze in the Shama District, Osagyefo Kobina Ntahianka II, has made a solemn promise to work diligently with the host of industries in Aboadze to address the myriad of development challenges bedeviling the community.

According to him, it was instructive for the business community in his traditional area to show genuine commitment in addressing issues like difficulties with the provision of potable water, social amenities, roads and education.

The Chief made the pledge during his installation and coronation on Tuesday August 23, 2022, following the passing of the former Chief, Nana Kwabena Attom III.

Known in private life as Kwame Peprah, Osagyefo Kobina Ntahianka II has a wealth of experience in the offshore and shipping industry. He has served in several managerial capacities, including Agency Manager for Scanship, Antrak, SDV (Bollore Group Ghana) and CMA CGM Ghana

He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Solpra Concept Services Limited, a Shore Handling company at the Tema Port. Osagyefo Kobina Ntahianka is also the current President of the Takoradi Sports Club.

Osagyefo Kobina Ntahianka II has a Degree in Communications and Public Relations and Statistics, an MA in Public Relations, MBA Marketing in Digital Age, PGD in Organisation Development and UNCTAD certificate in Modern Port Management

He comes from the lineage of Nana Yaa Aninwaa, sister of Nana Kobina Ntahianka I, Founder of Aboadze, Abuesi, and Dwomo.

Wearing a colourful kente cloth while waving the “Akonfona” to a cheering crowd from a palanquin, Nana Kobina Ntahianka II was paraded through the principal streets of Aboadze. The procession later converged at the center of Aboadze, where he took and swore his oath.

Addressing an ecstatic crowd, Nana Kobina Ntahianka II vowed to spearhead an unbridled development agenda to overturn the current fortunes of Aboadze.

The residents were elated that the installation of the Chief had been peaceful, considering the disturbances that had characterised that of other communities.
