Office block donated by Melcom Care Foundation

The Melcom Care Foundation, a subsidiary of the Melcom Group of Companies, has constructed and handed over a clinic and office block to the Ningo-Prampram District Assembly in the Greater Accra Region.

Addressing the gathering at a short ceremony to hand over the facility, the Director of Communications of Melcom Group, Godwin Avenorgbo, said the gesture was the beginning of a venture that would bring development, employment opportunities, and modern and efficient service delivery to the area.

He stated that as a group of companies engaged in the provision of services to satisfy needs, his outfit recognised that human resource safety, security, and convenience had become areas of prioritisation for the outreach projects that they undertake.

It was in line with this desire for the public good, that Mr. Avenorgbo noted his outfit was motivated to undertake the construction of an office block and a health centre for the Ningo-Prampram District Assembly, for the benefit of residents “in this densely populated area of the Greater Accra Region.”

“Melcom has ensured that these properties are legally connected with running water by the Ghana Water Company, Electricity by the Electricity Company of Ghana and are both provided with Septic Tanks for proper hygienic storage and disposal of waste,” he added.

To him,” The Melcom Group of Companies is ready to engage communities, chiefs and local government administrative machinery of all areas in Ghana ready and willing to collaborate with us as we continue to expand our services to various parts of the county.”

The District Chief Executive Officer of the Ningo- Prampram, Al-lattif Tetteh Amanor said his outfit would continue to provide health delivery facilities at the door steps of the inhabitants as well as facilities to enhance decentralization process in the district.

The DCE on behalf of the assembly thanked the management of Melcom Ghana Limited for the partnership, which has the spirit of mutual benefit.  In addition, he urged the council members of Prampram Area Council to also, “cultivate the culture of good maintenance to prolong the life span of this structure.”

The Clinic is made up of a Theater Room, sterilization Room, changing Room, OPD, Scan Office, Family Planning Department, Laboratory, Physician Room, Lobby Room, Pharmacy, Delivery Room, and Nursing Room among others.
