Ghana is set to become the epicenter of agricultural innovation in West Africa as it prepares to host the Ghana Horticulture Expo 2025, a three-day event scheduled from June 11th to 13th, 2025 at the Accra International Conference Center (AICC).

Under the theme: “Innovate, Transform, Sustain: Driving Growth in Ghana’s Horticultural Sector,” the expo aims to bring together a dynamic mix of local and international stakeholders to chart a new course for agribusiness in the country and beyond.

The event will spotlight the transformative potential of Ghana’s horticultural sector – a key contributor to the nation’s agricultural exports, featuring crops such as mangoes, pineapples, coconuts, yams and a variety of vegetables.

With increasing global interest in Ghanaian produce, organisers say the expo is timely for boosting competitiveness, enhancing value chains and attracting investment.

A lineup of product exhibitions, business-to-business meetings and expert-led seminars will drive knowledge exchange and networking among producers, exporters, investors, researchers, policymakers and members of youth-and women-led agribusinesses.

“The goal is to foster innovation and build sustainable partnerships that can elevate Ghana’s horticulture industry to new heights,” said Kwaku Boateng, Vice-President – Coconut Federation – Ghana.

Beyond commerce, the expo will also address climate resilience, inclusive participation and regional trade integration, acknowledging the broader environmental and economic challenges facing the sector.

As preparations ramp up, expectations are high that Ghana Horticulture Expo 2025 will not only showcase the country’s agricultural potential but also redefine how agribusiness is envisioned and practiced in the region.
