Fetish Priest Arrested For Stealing Tilapia

A 42 year old fetish priest, identified as Natervi Narh and his messenger, Francis Wormernu, aka Taller, 47 are currently in the grip of the Akuse police for allegedly stealing Tilapia at Kpong, in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality of the Eastern region.

According to pieces of information gathered by The Chronicle, the two suspects were caught late Monday night at about 10:30 pm by the owner of a fish farm, Dr. Jerryson Gidisu, who is also the President of Kings and Queens Group of Companies.

Confirming the story, Inspector Ayitey of the Akuse Police Command indicated that the two are in police custody to assist in investigations, after they (the fetish priest and messenger) were arrested at the farm by the owner harvesting the fish, with a net and bucket.

Inspector Ayitey explained that the two admitted ownership of the net and bucket, but denied harvesting any fish, a situation that calls for further investigation to establish how the fish found their way into his bucket.

Nartervi and his messenger are likely to appear before court within the week.
