Bomarts Farms Limited, producers and suppliers of premium-quality fresh pineapples and mangoes for local and international markets, has new board of directors.

At a brief ceremony on Monday, August 17, 2026 His Honour, Dennis Eyram Fumey, administered oaths to the six-member board in Accra.

The members of the board for Bomarts Farms Limited are Rev. Angela Appiah Carmen, the chairperson; Anthony Botchway, Chief Executive Officer; Daniel Asherow, General Manager; Cephas Galley, Esq.; Dr Ernest Obuobisa-Darko and Daniel Botchway.

COMMITMENT

In a short remark after administering the oaths, Circuit Court Judge H.H. Dennis Eyram Fumey told the Board Members that their swearing-in was not merely “a ceremonial formality.”

He said the swearing-in represented “a serious commitment to serve the company with integrity, diligence, impartiality, and a strong sense of responsibility.”

According to him, as directors of the company operating in the agricultural sector, the Board holds a very important position, given that agriculture is more than just a business.

“It (agriculture) is closely linked to food security, employment, livelihoods, rural development, and the economic well-being of our society.

“Therefore, the decisions you make in the boardroom can have an impact beyond the company’s immediate commercial interest,” Judge Fumey added.

APPROACH

He used the opportunity to encourage the board members to approach their responsibilities with integrity, accountability, and transparency, as well as maintain a healthy and constructive relationship with management.

Judge Fumey posited that the board’s role is to provide strategic direction, oversight, and guidance, whilst management handles the day-to-day operations of the company.

He opined that when these roles are well understood and respected, the company would be better positioned to succeed.

His Honour, Dennis Eyram Fumey, congratulated the board members and wished them wisdom, strength, and success as they carry out their responsibilities.

PLEDGE

On behalf of the Board of Directors, the chairperson, Rev. Angela Appiah Carmen, pledged a commitment to uphold the governing instruments of Bomarts Farms Ltd.

She said that they accept “this responsibility with humility and resolve, and our focus is to provide ethical leadership, ensure good corporate governance, promote sustainable agriculture, and protect the interests of our shareholders and employees, farmers, and the communities that we serve.”

She also pledged that the board would work in unity with management to drive innovation, transparency and accountability “as we contribute to food security and the prosperity envisioned in our national development agenda.”
