The Municipal Chief Executive of the Asokore Mampong Municipal Assembly, Ben Abdallah Alhassan has dragged the former Chief Executive Officer of the Assembly, Alhaji Alidu Seidu and eight others, to a Kumasi High Court for their alleged involvement in a land fraud scheme at Buoban, in the Asokore Mampong locality.
The eight other co-defendants in the suit are: Abigail Agyeman Boateng, former Physical Planning Officer; Henry Acquah, former Principal Technical Officer; Solomon Kwakye, former Senior Technical Officer, all formerly of the Asokore Mampong Municipal Assembly.

The others are Ibrahim Osman, alias Ibro; Abubakar Waziristan Ayuba; Muhammed Salisu, alias Clinton; Mallam Israel Umar, alias Boozen and Abdul Wahab Muhammed.
The accused are alleged to have conspired to unlawfully sell a 10.54-acre parcel of government land earmarked for the construction of a community hospital at Buoban, by falsifying official land documents to facilitate the deal.
They face 12 charges, including conspiracy to falsify land records, falsification of land records, fraudulent breach of trust, abetment of crime in the alleged unlawful sale of public land, conspiracy to commit crime, unlawful occupation of public land and possession of forged documents.
The Court, presided over by Justice Tetteh, at its sitting on Friday, however, granted all nine defendants bail in the sum of GH¢800,000 each, with three sureties to be justified in landed property.
The case was adjourned to March 12, 2026.
The Court also directed that a bench warrant be issued to cause the arrest of Barima Fredua Agyemang II, Kenyasehene and Nana Kofi Nti, caretaker chief (Odikro) of Buoban, who according to the Prosecutor are implicated in the matter, but failed to appear before the court.
