The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, handed over the flagbearer position of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to his Vice, Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia, today, November 4, 2023.
Akuf-Addo, who had held the position since 2007, expressed his appreciation to the party for the “honoured” done to him and the “confidence” reposed in him.
He indicated that he was confident Dr. Bawumia would steer the affairs of the NPP well, unite the party, and break the 8 while “inflicting a third consecutive defeat on John Mahama” and the National Democratic Congress.
