NPP Presidential Primary: “I accept the results in good faith” – Ken Agyapong

The Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has conceded defeat in the presidential primary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

He publicly accepted defeat after coming second to the Vice President, Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia.

Addressing a party rally to outdoor Dr. Bawumia as the flagbearer-elect, Kennedy Agyapong commended the party for what he described as “free and fair” elections.

He then stated that “indeed, it is a great day today. I believe the party has been transparent. That is the only thing I have always been preaching. And I must admit, this election is fair. And my grassroots have spoken, and therefor I accept the results in good faith.”

He continued, “I pledge my support that we are going to work tirelessly to break the eight.”
