Youngster Nathan Opoku joins Leicester City

English Premier League side, Leicester City, have confirmed the capture of Ghanaian youngster, Nathan Opoku.

The Ghanaian youmgster joins the Foxes on a three year deal from Syracuse University in the United States of America (US).

The 21-year-old was named as the Outstanding Offensive Player of the National Collegiate Athletic Association last year after he was involved in nineteen goals, eleven goals plus eight assists.

Nathan Opoku will immediately join Belgian-side Oud-Heverlee Leuven on loan till the rest of the season.

After completing the move, Opoku was excited to join Leicester City.

“I’m excited to announce that I’m making the transition to professional soccer. Syracuse University welcomed me into their family, and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to grow as a player,” he ended.

Opoku previously had a short stint with Manchester City academy before moving to the US.
