Kwame Opoku arrives in Morocco to seal Olympique Khouribga move

Former Asante Kotoko forward Kwame Opoku isn’t enjoying life in Algeria at the moment and is on the verge of joining Morocco topflight side Olympique Club de Khouribga, Kickgh.com can exclusively report.

The 23 year old was linked with a return to the Ghana Premier League and popped up on the radar of both Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak but the latest development states both clubs are most likely to miss out on his service.

Speculations say the player has already arrived in Morocco for his medicals and will sign for Olympique Club de Khouribga before the January transfer window is closed, should everything go through.

The enterprising forward was with the Porcupine Warriors in the 2020/21 season of which he played only the first round and netted seven league goals in the first phase of the GPL.

He signed for USM Alger and started on a good note but gradually lost his position at the Omar Hamadi Stadium where notched 7 goals and provided 6 assists in 38 matches in all competitions.

In the summer transfer window, the ex- Nkoranza Warriors striker was loaned out to Saudi Arabian side Najran SC but deal has been terminated in less than a month.
