Snoop Dogg’s 20 Grammy nominations, zero awards

American rapper, Snoop Dogg, real name Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., has again experienced Grammy Awards drought as he left the Crypto.com Arena empty-handed.

Snoop Dogg has for the twentieth time gone home without an award, provoking his followers to express disappointment in the awards scheme.

As one of the well-known and successful Hip Hop artistes of all time, Snoop and his followers were confident of winning an award this year but their expectations went south.

On his Instagram account which has over 79 million followers, Snoop Dogg on Monday February 6, 2023, shared a screenshot of a list of rappers with the most Grammy wins in history with Jay-Z and Kanye West leading with 24 victories, respectively with the caption: “Snoop Dogg. 20 nominations. 0 wins.”

Celebrities and followers of the Artiste, including Jamie Foxx, Mr. Caponee, Dee Spikes and others have shared their disappointment with their recording academy for not recognizing the works of Snoop Dogg.

Snoop, 51, has won other awards including BET Awards for Best Collaboration, American Music Awards for favourite Male Artiste, YouTube Music Award among others.
