Ralph Poku-Adusei donates motorbikes to Bekwai Police

Ralph Poku Adusei, Managing Partner at Trent Legal Amansie Chambers, has donated two motorbikes to support the operations of the Bekwai District Police Command.

The donation follows a request by the police that they needed a logistics to enhance their mobility in the district.

Prior to the donation, the police, during an interaction with the legal practitioner, while the latter was touring the constituency, said although there are about seven Police Stations in the district, residents have to endure highway robberies and pockets of insecurity, due to lack of logistics to combat crime.

According to the police, the only pick-up truck available to them has broken down for several years and had to manage with one Toyota Camry vehicle for patrol.

However, they were hopeful that they will receive their share of the 1,500 motorcycles commissioned by President Akufo-Addo to improve upon their services.

Ralph Poku-Adusei, while presenting the motorbikes to the police, said he was compelled to assist the Police due to the key role they play in the society.

“The Police are a very important establishment in our country and they deserve the support of everyone of us to do their work in keeping us safe.

“I consider this presentation a community duty and I look forward to doing much more for the Police command in Bekwai and all other institutions that provide critical support to the district,” Mr Poku-Adusei said.

“Maintenance they say is not really a culture that is upheld in our country. However, I urge the Police command to do everything possible to undertake regular maintenance of the motorbikes in order to have them in service for a long time,” the learned lawyer added.
