Prefos Limited To Assemble Led Lights Locally

Prefos Limited, one of the biggest electrical engineering companies in Ghana, with 31 years of experience,would go into full production of LED lights locally at its Adako-Jachie assembling plant this year.

It follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Three (3) Brothers, one of the leading lighting companies in Egypt.

Mrs. Philomena Owusu-Ansah, General Manager/Human Resource who announced this in Kumasi in an interview said this will enhance Prefos position as the sole manufacturer of LED lights in the sub-region, thus making Ghana the first country in West Africa to manufacture LED Street lights.

She also said the Building, Road, Civil and Electrical Engineering Contractors, would also extend its operations to Sierra Leone to provide quality lighting system for that country as well.

In 2020, Prefos and Three Brothers entered into partnership agreement to commence the manufacture of various electrical products such as Cables, High tension materials and security cameras to augment the local stock.

As a result, Prefos has acquired a 48-acre land at Baworo, near Ejisu, as Prefos Industrial Zone to commence the manufacturing of steel poles towards the realisation of the vision of the company to become the most innovative and competitive electrical engineering company in Ghana and the West Africa Sub-region.
