All the 140 (One hundred and forty) families of police personnel whose places of abode were destroyed in the recent Accra Central Police barracks fire have been resettled.
The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mr Christian Tetteh Yohuno disclosed this to The Chronicle in a telephone conversation.
According to the IGP, most of the affected personnel already had their own places of abode and opted for rent allowances instead.
The Chief Constable continued that those without their personal houses have been provided with police rented accommodation.
Mr Yohuno added that the burnt structure which is over a century old, will be demolished and the land fenced while the authorities decide on the next line of action.
