Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, has honoured Dr. Asafo Agyei, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Asafo Agyei Hospital, with a gold medal at the joint 20th Ashanti Business and Financial Services Excellence Awards and 9th Ashanti Business Leaders Excellence Awards ceremony, organised by Top Brass Ghana, under the auspices of Manhyia Palace.
Nana Tuahyia Oduro Panin Birikorang I, New Edubiasehene, who represented Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the event, presented a Citation of Honour to Dr. Asafo Agyei.
He said the award was in recognition of the outstanding contribution of the hospital to the economic development of the Ashanti Region to inspire others with good intentions of doing businesses in the region and beyond.
The Asantehene also commended the award winners whose entrepreneurial endeavours had contributed to the growth and promotion of the social and economic development of the region and Ghana.
Dr. Asafo Agyei expressed gratitude to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and Manhyia Palace for the honour done him.
He disclosed that the award would inspire and motivate him, not to relent in his efforts to do more in the field of healthcare delivery, which was considered a priority.
