NPP Newspaper Vendors Chair Endorses Ntim, JB

The chairman of the Ashanti Regional NPP Newspaper Vendors Association, Bismark Ayensu has implored delegates to consider the candidature of Mr. Stephen Ayesu Ntim and John Boadu for the positions of National Chairman and General Secretary respectively, in the impending National Executives elections next month.

Mr. Ayensu believes the duo would be perfect matches to enable the party achieve its arduous task of breaking the ‘8’ in Election 2024. He said he sees hope and unity in the two candidates.

The proponent says Mr. Ntim, as former national first vice chairman of the NPP, stands a good chance  to lead the party to extend its rule beyond the eight years maximum that has become the tradition for any political party in Ghana.

MrNtim is making his fifth bid for the National chairmanship position under the slogan – “Time Aso to Break The 8 Campaign”.

The newspaper vendors chairman hopes the delegates would offer Mr. Ntim the opportunity this time round to make the difference and impact on the fortunes of the NPP.

Mr. Ntim has resolved to always avail himself to be elected as the National Chairman of the party from his belief that the  development and success as a country requires an NPP government and an overwhelming parliamentary majority,” which  objective he is poised to champion.

Mr. Ayensu also said the incumbent General Secretary, John Boadu, deserves another term in office.

He said Mr. Boaduhas institutional memory of the operations of the party and ought to stay on for a smooth transition. He said having worked to move the party from opposition to power in 2016, in his capacity as the acting General Secretary and in 2020 as the substantive chief scribe, he should  be encouraged to do more for the party to be able to help “Break the 8”.

“Somebody like John Boadu needs to steer the administration of the party for singular purpose of breaking the 8”, Ayensu stressed.
