New Tafo Corpus Christi Parish marks 50th Anniversary

Vicar General of Kumasi Catholic Diocese presents a citation to the 2nd Deputy Speaker

The Parish Priest and congregation of Corpus Christi Catholic Church Krofrom-New Tafo, a suburb of Kumasi, have observed its 50th Anniversary with the official opening of the Perpetual Eucharistic Chapel.

The Eucharistic Chapel is to serve as a retreat centre for both Catholics and other religious denominations to enhance their spiritual wellbeing and other spiritual activities towards the spread of the Gospel.

Archbishop Emeritus Kwasi Sarpong, Rev. Father Raphael Kwabena Annan, Rev. Father Osei, assisted by the Parish Priest, Rev. Father Richard Opoku Acheampong, and the President of the church, jointly commissioned the Perpetual Eucharistic Chapel.

The occasion was also used to honour individuals, including Mr. Andrew Amoako Asiamah, the Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament, for his immense contribution, for the growth of the church over the years.
