Mr. Kennedy Agypong, former Assin Central lawmaker has donated an amount of GH¢950,000 to the victims of the Adum PZ fire victims as his personal contribution to help alleviate their plight.
Mr. Agyapong upon visiting the scene sympathized with the victims, emphasizing the importance of gratitude for their lives and encouraged them to focus on rebuilding and recovery, rather than allowing the tragedy to define them.
Mr. Agyapong’s donation comprised 200 Street Bulbs worth GH¢850,000 to improve and enhance security infrastructure, safety and well-being of the affected victims and a cash of GH¢100.000.00 to enable them to address their pressing needs and embark on the recovery process.
The former MP advised the victims against politicizing their operations and urged them to work together as a united front, focusing on their shared goals and aspirations.
Mr. Agyapong commended Dr. Frank Amoakohene, the Ashanti Regional Minister, police and Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) for their relentless efforts to always ensure the safety in the area and the protection of other properties in the area.
