The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has taken a forward-looking approach by engaging past IGPs to tap into their in-depth knowledge and experiences on police administration and effective policing.

The novel event, held at the National Police Headquarters in Accra yesterday, brought together former Inspectors-General of Police to deliberate on critical issues affecting the Ghana Police Service.

The meeting aimed to strengthen collaboration between the current leadership of the Police Service and its predecessors.

Discussions focused on key areas such as personnel welfare, crime-fighting strategies across the country, stakeholder engagement, and ongoing reforms within the Police Service. Other general issues concerning security, law, and order in the country were also extensively deliberated upon.

At the end of the meeting, all parties reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining regular engagements to ensure the continued growth and effectiveness of the Ghana Police Service.
