The latest Supreme Court ruling to cancel the few selected delegates system who always vote to choose MPs and presidential candidates for political parties is timely and long overdue.
If anything, that ruling has stopped political parties like the NPP and the NDC from becoming billionaire clubs that could eventually be captured and controlled by drug barons if the Supreme Court ruling had gone the other way.
May God richly bless Professor Frimpong-Boateng and his team who sued the parties at the Supreme Court. The said ruling will also stop a bunch of destructive infiltrators who found their ways into the two major political parties and see them as their gold mines by bad-mouthing hard-working party members and cadres who are even founding members of the NDC including this writer with false allegations without proof every now and then.
With extreme patience for over thirty-five hellish years of been orphans in the very party that we sacrificed extremely to form in 1992 only to be sidelined by the party leadership, cadres have now become automatic delegates that would always vote and I swear that there are some “billionaires” who would move heaven and earth to contest some positions in the party but would lose, others would be compelled to talk to the cadres whom they love to hate and it will be very interesting.
In fact, this article is dedicated to all those cadres who risked and sacrificed their lives in the early years of the 31st December Revolution honestly believing that Ghana would be a better and safe place with equal opportunities for all Ghanaians only to be asked by the PNDC leadership to take the Revolution, which was no more while they took the money via ex- gratia awards upon ex – gratia awards. Since God is not mocked, the truth will always prevail.
On 16th July 2026, I appealed to the public for financial assistance to cure my sickness, but I am yet to get any favourable response. In the absence of any assistance, I appeal to my brother, Mr. Ibrahim Mahama of Engineers & Planners to help save my precious life.
