Ejisu Assembly supplies 5,000 coconut seedlings to farmers

The Ejisu Municipal Assembly has given out 5,000 coconut seedlings to the 25 electoral areas for distribution to farmers towards improved coconuts production in the country.

The Municipal Chief Executive for Ejisu, Samuel Oduro Frimpong, noted that the programme was intended to grow the local economy, as well as for export.

He called on the Ministry of Food and Agriculture to provide technical advice to beneficiaries of the seedlings for the programme to succeed.

Mr. Daniel Anaba, Municipal Director of Agriculture, gave the assurance that his outfit would provide the necessary support for the project to succeed.

According to him, his outfit had liaised with the Ghana Export Promotion Council to provide assistance to farmers during harvest and marketing of their produce.
