The Trabuom is the latest community to receive support under the MP’s second social intervention project based on needs assessment for the MPs community support project.

The procurement of the medical equipment was funded by the Latter Day Charities through the MPs initiative.

It is the second social intervention project executed by the Member of Parliament this year.

Under the first phase of the social intervention project, some deplorable schools were turned into model ones in the Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency in the early part of this year.

Madam Comfort Suglo, District Medical Director, noted that the medical equipment would help the facility to provide enhanced medical care and stop the practice of the community members, especially pregnant women, having to travel distances outside Trabuom to seek maternal and health care.

The Member of Parliament, who also doubles as the Deputy Minister of Defence, disclosed that he had to renovate the laboratory block to accommodate the new medical equipment, and hoped the management of the facility would take good care of them for the benefit of the country.

Mr. Gabriel Kojo, a representative from the Latter-Day Charities under the Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, announced that in line with the vision of organisation to support the needy, it had no option, but to support the MP when he applied for assistance after a careful assessment.

At the presentation ceremony were the District Chief Executive, Prince Karikari, and his District Co-ordinating Director, Presiding Member, chiefs, representatives of the Latter-Day Charities, some assembly members and constituency executives of the New Patriotic Party.
