A former Officer of the United Nations, Professor Baafour Agyeman-Duah, has disclosed that the United States’ bombings of strategic areas in Iran, last Saturday, is a “strategic plan” to control the world as well as maintaining the dominance of the “dollar” on the world market.
“The strikes have nothing to do with the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian war or the nuclear weapons, moreso when Iran has not attacked Israel, therefore, there is no connection to it” Prof. Agyeman -Duah stressed.
Speaking in an interview on Kumasi-based radio station, Silver FM, Prof. Agyeman-Duah explained to the host, William De Bordes (Loving Cee), last Monday, that after the US attacked three nuclear facilities in Iran as part of the Twelve-Day War, code named “Operation Midnight Hammer”, in June last year, President Trump disclosed at a press conference that “Iran’s key nuclear sites were completely and fully obliterated by US strikes”.
Prof. Agyeman-Duah queried Trump’s statement and why the US would attack Iran again last Saturday, under the guise of destroying nuclear weapons. He insisted that the strikes had no connection to nuclear weapons or Israel-Palestine, but about “greed and World dominance” for the US.
Prof Agyeman-Duah further indicated that last Saturday’s strikes was a results of BRICS’ (a political, economic and diplomatic coordination forum, which originally comprised Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa), a proposed joint finance instrument designed to facilitate trade and investment among BRICS countries to reduce reliance on the US dollar or other western-backed systems.
Prof. Agyeman-Duah indicated that Iran also supply China (at a Proxy war with the US), which needs ten million barrels of oil per day, an act, the US does not take kindly to, noting that this shows how greedy and power-hungry the US is to control the Middle East at the expense of causing hardship to the whole world.
The former UN Officer disclosed that the UN has not been able to deliberate on these issues , because of the veto power the US has within the organisation, adding that the US and Israel are at fault about last Saturday’s strikes.
He urged African countries to come together and be independent, because the current US President does not have the continent’s welfare at heart, which is evident in his foreign policies.
Prof. Baafour Agyeman-Duah also advised African governments, especially Ghana, not to facilitate US Military Bases in their country, noting that such countries suffer, evident in the aftermath of last Saturday’s bombings, with countries like Qatar, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, among others attacked by Iran in retaliation.
