The Amansie South District Assembly has cut the sod for the construction of a 24-hour Economy model market at Manso Adubia, a project expected to transform commercial activity in the district.
The 24-hour Economy model market will include a Women’s Bank, pharmacy, clinic, police station, fire station and restaurants.
Mr. Benjamin Marfo, the District Chief Executive noted that the provision of these facilities will make the market a one-stop centre for commerce, health, security and financial services, thereby enhancing convenience for traders and residents.
He expressed confidence that the market will significantly improve the economic fortunes of the district and create new opportunities for traders, farmers and local businesses.
Mr. Marfo described the market as a major economic intervention aimed at boosting commercial activities and supporting the government’s 24-hour Economy agenda noting that the market will operate around the clock, creating a vibrant commercial hub to serve the people of the district.
Nana Doku Appiah Dankwah II, the Manso Adubiahene, also expressed gratitude to President John Mahama for initiating such a major project. He described it as a significant intervention that will enhance economic activities and improve livelihoods in the district.
Nana Doku Appiah Dankwah II appealed to the government to also complete all projects started by the previous administration, particularly the Agenda 111 hospital, the fire station, and roads in the district.
He said the completion of the said projects, together with the new market, would accelerate development and create more jobs for the youth in Amansie South.
