Kumawu MP supports 400 BECE candidates

Mr. Ernest Yaw Anim, the Member of Parliament for Kumawu, has donated items and cash worth over GH¢150,000 to support 400 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates in the Sekyere Kumawu constituency.

The initiative aims to ease the financial burden on parents and guardians as their wards prepare to transition into Senior High Schools (SHS). The donation comprised essential items such as chop boxes, trunks, exercise books, certificates, as well as cash packages.

The Member of Parliament for Kumawu emphasised the importance of investing in education for a brighter and more prosperous future for the constituency.

He disclosed that the gesture marks the third consecutive year he had organised such a programme, demonstrating his commitment to supporting BECE candidates.

The MP expressed his commitment to see to it that children in Kumawu further their education beyond the basic level.

“Investing in education is crucial for building a brighter and more prosperous future for Kumawu”, he emphasised.

Mr. Anin reiterated that the donation would make a significant impact on the lives of the beneficiary students, enabling them to pursue their education without financial constraints.

The beneficiary students expressed their appreciation for the timely intervention and promised to work hard and make the MP proud.
