In the ongoing Ga South District Division Three Football League, Mystical Royals delivered one of their best performances of the season to secure a crucial point in a challenging away fixture against Gye Nyame Global FC.
The match began with the Royals conceding two goals within the first 20 minutes of the game. To add salt to injury, they were reduced to ten men, following a red card to their enterprising player.
However, Mystical Royals showed resilience and managed to pull one goal back before halftime.
Abass Jibrim, the team’s star player, made a game-changing impact when he came off the bench in the second half to score two stunning goals to give the Royals a well deserved lead.
Unfortunately, a controversial decision by the referee allowed the home team to equalise, denying Mystical Royals a victory.
Pundits of the game praised the Royals for their exceptional display and teamwork throughout the match, with victory eluding them due to some controversial decisions by the officiating official.
Mystical Royals are expected to build on the momentum as they take on Glory Stars in their next F.A. Cup match on January 29, 2025 at the Weija Asaa Park.
