Kotoko sign experienced forward Sampson Eduku

Asante Kotoko have completed the signing of 29-year-old forward Sampson Eduku on a one-and-a-half-year contract following the successful completion of his medical.

Eduku joins the Porcupine Warriors from Iraqi Premier League side Al Quwa Al Jawiya, bringing a wealth of experience and a proven goal-scoring record.

The striker’s career has been marked by notable stints with Samartex and Tamale City, where he enjoyed a standout season in the 2022/23 campaign.

Eduku scored 14 goals and provided four assists for Tamale City, catching the eye of top clubs with his scintillating form.

His performances earned him a move to Iraq, where he continued to showcase his attacking prowess.

Kotoko are confident that Eduku’s experience and goal-scoring ability will significantly bolster their squad as they push for the Ghana Premier League title this season. They are currently in sixth place with 28 points after 16 matches.

Eduku’s arrival adds further depth to Kotoko’s forward line, and the club’s management believes his skill set will help elevate their campaign as they aim for success.
