Sarkodie has told Stonebwoy not to expect him to treat his friendships with other people as a statement against him.
“If I had any issues with you, I wouldn’t have been the one to pick up the phone, call you, and invite you to my RAH show,” Sarkodie said.
He also addressed Stonebwoy’s concern about him spending time with people who had allegedly disrespected him, saying he does not believe such associations automatically mean he supports whatever those people have done.
“You hang out with people who have disrespected me, but there’s no way I would assume that means you support their disrespect towards me, because you have nothing to do with it,” he said.
For Sarkodie, the same principle should apply to their own relationship.
He questioned why Stonebwoy believed he owed him an explanation or some form of loyalty that Sarkodie says does not exist.
“Yet you seem to feel I owe you something that simply doesn’t exist,” he said.
The response was Sarkodie’s direct answer to Stonebwoy’s concerns about their relationship and the expectations he believes have been placed on him.
