Wisdom For Christmas

It’s amazing how Christmas turns out to be the happiest moment in the lives of many individuals. It’s also important to note that we need wisdom to carry us through the Christmas season happily. Wisdom is needed in order to celebrate the season in line with its reason. The ability of having quality of experience, knowledge and good judgement is what wisdom implies, the reason why many ought to look out for and understand the true concept of applying wisdom in this season. The Christmas celebration may get into our heads and lead many into engaging in many unnecessary things which may later lead to regret. Some things we do may be for fun but let’s not forget the fact that wisdom must play a major role in it. Why do we forget about wisdom sometimes? We allow our flesh to dictate for us which shouldn’t be, our flesh adores what is attractive yet if we forget to pray and ask for wisdom in our celebration we may give in to our fleshy desires. The God who gives wisdom freely when we seek his face shall grant it to us. Let’s not think we will be fine automatically during Christmas, it won’t kill you to ask God to carry you through the season and grant you the wisdom as to how to celebrate it.God has seen you through the whole year from January all through to December, despite the wake and outspread of the Corona virus, God protected and shielded you to live to see this day, you ought to bless God and thank him daily for what he’s used you for this whole year. Since he took care of you from the commencement of this year he shall surely protect you and usher  you safely into 2022.Wisdom for Christmas is what we need in order to celebrate the season with meaning.

What impact have you made in the year.?

Glory be to God that we are alive and have already made it past eleven months in the year. The question is what impact have we made on our own lives? Before crossing over into this year, we many have all made some declarations over our lives, you promised yourself to quit certain character traits, you promised your maker to be the better you. How far have you gone with that? We need to have time and access ourselves in order to pinpoint our short falls and where the devil easily traps us so we may become more cautious of ourselves and know how to overcome the schemes of the devil. If you have failed to achieve your set targets for this year, it’s not so late to rise up, we have still got a few days more in this year to live write and list down new goals and plans for our lives before we finally close the year. We all have our own weaknesses, we all may sometimes feel like doing unpleasant things at times, we want to release stress so we may want to enter certain places to have fun and chill out just to feel happy, we end up forgetting our entire self and dignity and bury all our Christian ethics and follow the crowd to misbehave but it all points back to us, we came into the world alone so shall we leave. Is it not better to emulate the lifestyles of those who have made it through Christ rather than dwelling on the desires of the flesh? What impact have you made in the past eleven months? Is God pleased? Dear cherished reader, let’s advice ourselves as the end is drawing near. May God give us the grace to be of great impact unto our own lives and unto the lives of others and also guide us safely through the days ahead.

As humans we can’t be perfect but then we must strive to improve on ourselves. Life may have been harsh for you throughout the year but keep to memory that that God has got you no matter what your current situation may be or how impossible things around you may look. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 10:13 that, ‘No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape that you may be able to endure it.Having known this scripture doesn’t mean that we must relax and be lazy Christians. If it’s your Christian life that is dull, work on it by adding more inspiration and good counsel. Before the year ends decide to write some notes to yourself down and live according to all the things you’ve put to writing. If it’s your life that is wayward, sit yourself down and advice yourself that a day is coming where you would account for everything you did while alive. Nobody is responsible for your life’s setbacks and worries. God has given us life for us to make good use of it and touch the lives of others. Let’s do well to improve on ourselves and our way of life since no one will do that for us. Don’t allow all the powerful preaching, inspirational messages, and daily sermons we hear and read about go waste, lets tap into these and use it to improve on ourselves.Make improving on yourself become a great deal since it makes you a better individual, a more equipped Christian who can stand firm to resist the schemes of the devil. May God help us all to improve on ourselves in order to live a life more pleasing in his sight. I pray for you that you enjoy the year well and enjoy the Christmas season remembering whom you are celebrating and for the reason to which you’re still living and breathing. Enjoy the season. Merry Christmas and a peaceful and awesome new year from the writer for this Column Lady Jaclyn Essien.
