We Care Health Foundation donates money to support Korle-Bu patients

Some patients at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital were full of smiles last Friday as We Care Health Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organisation donated some monies to support them.

The money, amounting to GH¢3,000 is to help in the payment of some medical bills of the patients.

The beneficiaries were six-year old Stephanie and twelve-year old Anita. While Stephanie suffers from septic arthritis, Anita on the other hand has been battling with anal malformation for some time now.

According to President of the Foundation, John Acquah Neumann Thomson, both children have undergone corrective surgeries, but their guardians have not been able to cater for their outstanding bills, hence their decision to support them.

He noted that though the amount could not cater for all the financial needs of these patients, he was certain that the little amount will go a long way to help clear their bills.

Speaking about why they chose to support these patients, President of the Foundation, John Acquah Neumann Thompson, noted that most referral cases are sent to Korle-Bu so the team thought it wise to start from there.

He said the team is hoping to embark on another project and the OkomfoAnokye Hospital will be the next to benefit. We Care Health Foundation, is a charitable organisation which seeks to bridge the gap between children with health complications and their future.

The President noted that some children are usually deprived of the privilege to contribute their quota to society due to ill-health and their inability to seek proper medical care hence their target group.
