WE CARE Foundation Donates To babies in NICU

In a heart-warming gesture of compassion and commitment to healthcare, We Care Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), has made a generous donation to babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital.

The contribution aims to support the wellbeing of three children in need of medical care and attention.

We Care Foundation, known for its unwavering dedication to improving healthcare services across the country, has once again demonstrated its commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of those in need. Each child received an amount of GH1,000 to help in the payment of medical bills.

CEO of WE CARE Foundation, Acquah Newman John Thompson, revealed that the donation was the second time his foundation has carried out such a drive, following a successful one at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital last ycar.

This is the second time we are embarking on such donation, last year, we did the first one at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, where we gave the same amount to two children, one was suffering from anal malformation and the other arthritis, he said.

The NGO’s donation will go towards providing essential medical resources and support for the three children currently receiving treatment at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital.

He further revealed they offer help by pooling resources together to make significant impact and offering hope and support to those who need it.

Mr Acquah, therefore, expressed his gratitude to the people who helped in the donation and called on stakeholders to support them in achieving their goals.

A beneficiary, Patience Addy, commended the foundation for their benevolent act.

“I thank you for the kind gesture, it really means a lot to me, may the Almighty bless you and the donors who contributed to help my child with some of our medical bills,” she said.

A staff nurse at the hospital, Rhoda OraccaTettch, also expressed her gratitude to the foundation for the support to the patients.

Rhoda OraccaTettch used the opportunity to also urge other people to support the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
