Tiwa Savage to perform at King Charles III coronation

Nigerian music star, Tiwa Savage, is amongst other performers who are billed to perform at the coronation ceremony of United Kingdom’s monarch, King Charles III.

BBC announced Tiwa Savage among a line-up of international musicians to perform at the coronation concert.

King Charles III will officially be crowned on Saturday, May 6, at Westminster Abbey in London.

The coronation concert will follow on Sunday, May 7 at the Windsor Castle.

The other Artistes who will join Tiwa Savage to perform at the coronation ceremony are Take That, Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, Andrea Bocelli, Sir Bryn Terfel, Freya Ridings and Alexis French.

The ‘Ma lo’ crooner who is the first woman to win an MTV Europe Music Award as Best African Act, said she was excited about the invitation.

“It’s truly an honour to be representing Africa and the Commonwealth at such an historic event,” she said.

“I look forward to joining the celebrations and bringing Afrobeats to Windsor Castle for the first time!” she added.
