Tinubu to present 2024 budget to National Assembly tomorrow

Barring a last-minute change in plans, President Bola Tinubu is expected to present the 2024 Appropriation Bill to the joint session of the National Assembly on Wednesday.

The President is scheduled to submit the N26 trillion budget to the lawmakers and give the ceremonial speech. It is going to be Tinubu’s first budget presentation.

Security operatives are putting measures in place ahead of the presentation. The Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila had on Monday, during the retreat for National Assembly committee chairmen and deputies, hinted that the President would soon submit the budget.

DAILY POST can report that the submission is scheduled for Wednesday.

President Bola Tinubu on Monday, swore in eight new Permanent Secretaries, recently appointed.

The development followed their success in the Federal Civil Service selection process.

The swearing-in ceremony preceded the commencement of the weekly Federal Executive Council, FEC, at the Council Chambers of the State House, Abuja, meeting on Monday.

The new Permanent Secretaries are Ndakayo-Aishetu Gogo; Bako Deborah Odoh; Omachi Raymond Omenka; Ahmed Dunoma Umar; Watti Tinuke; Adeoye Adeleye Ayodeji; Rimi Nura Abba, and Ella Nicholas Agbo.
