Tamale City appoint Mohammed Abdul Wahid as new head coach

Ghana Premier League (GPL) newcomers, Tamale City have confirmed the appointment of Mohammed Abdul Wahid as their new head coach.

Abdul Wahid have penned a two-year deal with Tamale City. Coach Hamza Mohammed led Tamale City to the GPL after beating Liberty Professionals and Ebusua Dwarfs to qualify for Ghana’s top-flight to replace demoted Ashanti Gold.

Hamza Mohammed will serve as the assistant coach to Abdul Wahid, because he doesn’t have the required License to manage a GPL side.

Abdul Wahid have previously coached GPL side Legon Cities.

The Ghana Premier League will start on 9th September.Tamale City will travel to face Karela United in the opening weekend of the GPL.
