Stop making promises, show us your achievements –PDP challenges APC

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Jigawa State has been challenged by the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (APC) to show its dossier of achievements to the people of the state in the last eight years of their administration.

The PDP, Campaign Council Chairman, Alh. Isah Ahmed Duniya Bahutu, threw the challenge while addressing the party’s stakeholders from Kafin Hausa Local Government Area on Friday in Dutse.

The party leader specifically challenged the APC standard flagbearer in the 2023 general election and the incumbent deputy governor, Umar Danmodi, to tell his people the dividends of democracy, instead of endless promises.

According to him, if the deputy governor who is an indigene of the local government council had attracted developmental projects, there won’t be need for the opposition party to campaign in his area.

Bahutu said: “This is the time achievements of any party in power should speak for them, but unfortunately, this is not the case now in Jigawa for the APC, particularly in Kafin Hausa Local Government Area.”

In a statement by the Deputy Director Media and Publicity to the Santuraki Campaign Directorate, Umar Kyari Jitau Madamu, which was made available to DAILY POST, the council called on the stakeholders to work hard to ensure the election of Mustapha Lamido as the next governor so that more of such projects will be provided.
