Mentor, contestant, and musician Odakky Andy revealed that his inability to relocate from Kumasi to Accra after the show cost him the chance to sign with musician Samini.

In an interview on Angel FM, Odakky Andy explained that moving to Accra was a major decision he was not prepared to make at the time, despite the potential opportunities it could have created for his music career.

He said the decision was painful, suggesting his circumstances at the time kept him from taking the opportunity to work with Samini.

“What made Samini not sign me right after Mentor was that I wasn’t ready to relocate from Kumasi at that time, and moving to Accra was a big decision I wasn’t prepared for,” he said.

Reflecting on the experience, Odakky Andy regretted leaving the opportunity behind and advised upcoming musicians in Kumasi to consider relocating to Accra as their careers gain momentum.

“It was very painful for me to leave,” he stated.

He further encouraged artistes making progress in Kumasi to consider moving to the capital, arguing that it could expose them to more opportunities in the music industry.

“I would advise that anyone who is in Kumasi and has started doing well in their music to relocate because more opportunities are in Accra,” he said.
