Ghanaian music duo R2Bees have continued their international tour with high-energy performances in Washington, DC and Ohio, delivering some of their biggest hits to audiences in the United States.
The duo performed at the Howard Theatre in Washington, DC, on August 2, 2026, before making their way to Ohio, where they took the stage at The Bluestone on Saturday, August 15.
The Ohio concert, powered by AK24 Entertainment, had initially been scheduled for June 27 but was postponed to August 15 due to what organisers described as “unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.”
The rescheduling, organisers said, was necessary to ensure that the show met the expectations of fans and delivered the experience they deserved.
The wait proved worthwhile for fans, as R2Bees entertained the audience with a selection of songs from their catalogue. The duo had the audience on its feet, with fans dancing and singing along throughout the performance.
The energetic crowd response reflected the enduring appeal of R2Bees’ music among Ghanaian and African music lovers in the diaspora.
Among the tracks performed were their monster hit “Over,” alongside “Bayla” and “Ajee,” as the duo brought their signature blend of Afrobeats, hip-hop and Ghanaian popular music to the Ohio stage.
The performances in DC and Ohio form part of a wider international run by Ghanaian musicians, with several artistes currently taking their music to audiences across the United States, United Kingdom and other international markets.
For R2Bees, the tour provides another opportunity to reconnect with Ghanaian and African music fans abroad while showcasing their enduring catalogue to a broader international audience.
The duo’s international run will continue in the United Kingdom, with their next announced stop at Outernet in London on September 11, 2026.
The London performance is expected to extend the momentum generated by their recent US shows as the duo continues to take their music to audiences beyond Ghana.
