Police Arrest 3 Soldiers For Robbery

Three soldiers and a civilian accomplice have been arrested by the police over alleged robbery at Nsakina, near Amasama, in the Greater Accra Region. The incident took place on Saturday, June 4, 2022.

They are No 208183 Cpl Yinsabilik Gabriel, No 208252 L/Cpl Elikem Adams, No 209016 L/Cpl Asiedu Stanley and Malik, the civilian accomplice.

Report reaching The Chronicle from both police and military sources indicate that the four, on Saturday June 4, 2022 scaled a wall into a home at Nsakina and allegedly robbed a number of the occupants of eight mobile phones.

The suspects forced the victims to transfer an amount of eight hundred and fifty Ghana Cedis (GHC 850.00) to a registered MTN number, bearing the name of Yinsabilik Gabriel.

Police investigation led to the three soldiers subsequently arrested by the Military Police and subsequently handed over to the Amasama District Police Command for further investigation.

The soldiers have since been cautioned and released to the Military Police to report periodically, while investigation continues.

Meanwhile, the accomplice, Malik, has confessed to the crime during interrogation.
