One Child Ground Breaker donates learning materials to 198 Tetrefu Technical Institute students

The One Child Ground Breaker, an international Non-Governmental Organisation, has donated learning materials to about 198 students of Tetrefu Technical and Vocational Training Institute in the Bosomtwi District.

The items presented to the institute include mathematical sets, graph books, exercise books, note books, drawing pads, calculators and dictionaries.

The gesture was to complement the government’s efforts at improving Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Education.

Nana Anthony Boateng, One Child Ground Breaker Country Representative, explained that the gesture also was aimed at improving and making Technical and Vocational Education attractive to students to contribute to the development of the country.

He pleaded with the government, through the Ministry of Education and other stakeholders in the education sector, to come to the aid of the school.

Mr. Richard Addo Gyamfi, Ashanti Regional Director of Technical and Vocational Education Training, commended the NGO for the support and effort to make TVET Education successful, while motivating the youth to go into technical education which was the backbone of every country.

He disclosed that, with support from One Child Ground Breaker, most students in the school would be relieved to concentrate on their studies.

The Director advised the beneficiary students to take their studies seriously and put the items to good use to serve the intended purpose for which they were provided.

Meanwhile, One Child Ground Breaker has also presented 44 metal double Decker beds to the Ejuraman Technical Institute.
