Odeneho affirms readiness for Ashanti NPP polls

The sixth tenure of Odeneho Kwaku Appiah as the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman for Afigya Kwabre South Constituency in Ashanti Region, ended last week Tuesday April 19, 2022.

The out-gone Constituency Chairman failed to pick nomination forms at the close of day, thus giving new contestants the chance to vie for his position in the upcoming constituency polls.

Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, affectionately called COKA, had declared his intentions to contest the regional championship position last year, as a result of which he opted out of the constituency polls.

He wants to avail his world of knowledge and experience as an Assembly Member, Constituency Chairman for over 20 years, and Regional Treasurer for the party.

He has explained that his mission is to rescue the party and, therefore, called all members, supporters and sympathisers, as well as old and past executives since 1992, to come on board to rebuild the party in the region, to enable the Ashanti Region NPP to assert itself as the pillar and stronghold of the party.

The aspiring Chairman has also expressed his commitment in ensuring that the party was well restructured for growth. The former President of the Youth in Action said it was time the entire leadership and membership of the party at all levels “work, think and decide” together and help boost the dwindling fortunes of the party in the region.

To his teeming followers, Odeneho Kwaku Appiah is a unifier, consistent, experienced and media-friendly, as well as someone who could redeem the image of the party and consolidate its fortunes in terms of votes.

As the Chairman of the Ashanti Union of Constituency Chairmen, he is in constant touch with the national leadership, and relates so well with members of parliament for the good of the party. “Odeneho Kwaku Appiah can bring total unity and respect to the leadership of the party at the regional level, and allow the structures to work efficiently and effectively,” the leadership of the party’s Serial Callers Union indicated.
