New Adumasa Chief Preaches Development In Unity

The Chief of Adumasa, Nana Owusu Banahene, has reiterated his resolveto champion the development of the community.

The chief, who swore the oath of allegiance to his overlord, the Asafohene, Nana Asafo Boakye Agyemang Bonsu last August, met his subjects at Adumasa in the Atwima Kwanwoma District of the Ashanti Region, during which meeting he introduced Nana Akosua Asantewaa, as theAdumasaObaapanin.

The occasion, the first public appearance of the new chief, attracted a large number of people, including traditional leaders, business entities, the Clergy and the Christian and Muslim communities, as well as politicians.

Nana Banahene commended the Asona Royal family, Chiefs and his subjects for the exhibition of love and support and the mandate to lead them and pledged to bring development to the people.

“Adumasa has not seen any development for a very long time and I seek your prayers, co-operation and support for accelerated development”,he stated and mentioned education, health and other social interventions as his immediate priorities.

The new Chief admonished the community members, particularly the youth, as the future leaders, to be hard working and contribute to the developmental agenda of the community.

Nana Kwasi Boakye, the head of the Royal Asona family, who organized the durbar, applauded the people for their contribution towards the success of the event and called on them to rally behind the new Chief to achieve the desired development goals for the Adumasa community.
