The Head of the Kronti Royal Stool of Adjena, Abusuapanyin Nana Obuobi, has supported final-year students of the Adjena United Junior High School (JHS) who have qualified to continue their education at the Senior High School (SHS) level.
The traditional leader donated school bags, notebooks and other learning materials to the 2026 JHS 3 graduates, as part of efforts to encourage education and promote academic excellence among young people in the community.
Presenting the items, Nana Obuobi congratulated the students for successfully completing their basic education and urged them to approach their SHS education with discipline, determination and a strong sense of purpose.
He advised them to be mindful of the company they keep, warning that bad peer influence could undermine their education and future prospects.
The traditional leader encouraged the students to remain focused on their studies and make responsible decisions that would contribute positively to their personal development and the progress of Adjena.
Nana Obuobi also commended teachers of the Adjena United Primary and JHS for their dedication, commitment and selfless service in preparing the students for their examinations. He noted that despite the challenges facing Adjena, including limited social amenities and educational resources, the students had demonstrated remarkable academic potentials.
According to him, some of the students recorded impressive single-digit aggregates of 7, 8 and 9, describing the achievement as evidence of the determination of both teachers and learners.
He said the results demonstrated what young people could achieve when they received quality teaching, encouragement and the necessary support.
Nana Obuobi urged the students not to allow the challenges confronting their community to limit their aspirations.
He encouraged them to take advantage of their transition to SHS to build strong academic foundations and develop the discipline required to succeed in life.
He further assured the students that his doors would remain open to young people in Adjena who might require guidance, counselling or assistance in pursuing their education.
The traditional leader stressed that the youth represented the future of Adjena and urged them to work hard, reject negative influences and aspire to become responsible and productive members of society.
The beneficiaries expressed appreciation to Nana Obuobi for the donation and encouragement, describing the gesture as timely support as they prepared to begin a new chapter of their educational journey. They pledged to take their studies seriously and make their parents, teachers and community proud.
