Mohammed Kudus opens up on his failed move to Everton

Black Stars midfielder, Kudus Mohammed insists that he wanted to move to Everton because he wasn’t getting enough opportunities at Ajax at the start of the season.

In-form Mohammed Kudus was a subject of interest from English Premiership side, Everton during the summer.

Mohammed Kudus was forced to boycott training after Ajax blocked his move to Everton.

The 22-year-old has scored six goals in his last five games for the Amsterdam giants.

Mohammed Kudus is in the camp of the Black Stars ahead of their friendly against Brazil and Nicaragua.

The former Nordsjaelland midfielder believes that he had a great opportunity to move to Everton after he struggled at the start of the season at Ajax.

“Everton offered me a great opportunity and I wanted to try it,” he said. “No footballer wants to sit on the bench and neither do I. Although I understood that not everyone can play all the time, Everton seemed like a good option at the time,” he added.
