The Kwabre Area Community Bank PLC made a profit before tax of GHc2, 922,817 in 2014 and 2025. The bank recorded a profit of GHc1,643,450 in 2024 while GHc1,279,367 was registered for 2025 amounting to GHc2,922,817 for the two-year period.
The chairman of the Board of the bank, Ing. Louis Kwakye, who disclosed this in his report at the 6th Annual General Meeting of the bank at Kodie in the Afigya Kwabre South Municipality said the bank also recorded impressive financial performance of 143.8% from its cash and bank balances, which increased from GHc1,864,090 in 2024 to GHc4,545,014 in 2025.
The Board chairman also announced that the bank’s total assets also increased from GHc15,183,300 in 2024 to GHc24,609,914 in 2025 representing a 62.1% increase of GHc9,427,461 while deposits increased from GHc13,147,734 in 2024 to GHc20,752,496 in 2025 representing an increase of GHc7,604,752 or 57.8%.
Ing. Kwakye attributed the Bank’s impressive performance to the resilience and potential of the bank. He, however, mentioned capitalisation, profitability and loan recovery in the private sector as major challenges the bank faces.
The chairman assured that the Board and management remain committed to addressing the challenges and position for sustainable growth, convenient and reliable banking services and creating long-term value for their shareholders, customers and stakeholders.
The Board chairman commended management and staff of the bank for their efforts in deposit mobilisation and encouraged shareholders to increase their shareholding and support the bank’s capitalisation efforts for sustainable growth in compliance with the new regulatory capital requirement of the Bank of Ghana.
