Kuami Eugene weeps as he announced death of dad

Eugene Kwame Marfo, professionally known as Kuami Eugene, a high-life and Afrobeat singer-songwriter has announced the death of his father.

In a heartbreaking post shared on Twitter, the award-winning artiste announced the sad news to his fans and followers.

The ‘Angela’ hitmaker expressed the difficulty of these trying times for him and his family.

Bidding farewell to his father, he noted that he misses him already.

His post read; “It’s been difficult times for myself and my family. We’ve said goodbye to a loved one too soon. I miss you so much already Dad. Rest well until we meet again.”

As one of Ghana’s most prominent and talented musicians, Kuami Eugene has garnered a massive following and admirers worldwide through his music.

He won the New Artiste of the year in 2018 from the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) and the Ghana Music Awards UK. He also received the Most Promising Artist in Africa award from AFRIMA

In 2019, Kwame Eugene received 7 nominations at the VGMA and went on to win the awards for Album of the Year, Producer of the Year and Highlife Artist of the Year. He was crowned Artiste of the Year and High-life Artist of the Year at the 2020 Ghana Music Awards.
