Koblah Tay assumes office as new Director of CSIR-SRI

Dr Collins Koblah Tay has been sworn in as the newly appointed Director of Council for Scientific and Institute of Research – Soil Research Institute (CSIR-SRI) to supervise the day to day activities of the institute for the next five years.

He has since sworn the Oath of secrecy and office to that effect.

He replaces the outgoing Acting Director, Mr Gabriel Willie Quansah, who expressed his profound gratitude to staff and other officials for their support and cooperation during his tenure of office in various capacities for the past 32 years.

Professor Paul Pinnock Bosu, Director-General, CSIR, who supervised the handing over ceremony during a send-off party for Mr Quansah advised the newly appointed Director to work tirelessly and ensure the success for himself, the institute and Ghana through  his vision.

The CSIR Director-General tasked Mr. Quansah to ensure growth at the Institute.

Dr. Koblah Tay, in his acceptance speech noted that his new appointment is a symbolism of a new journey ahead because it is not the end of the battle.

He assured to help build the capacity of Ghana Soil Research Institute to consolidate gains of the CSIR.

He accepted the challenges with the new mandate and assured that he would not disappoint the Institute saying he will need the unflinching support from the staff to succeed.
