Jomoro MP reshapes 17kms bad road to the relief of cocoa farmers

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Jomoro, Dorcas Affo-Toffey, has personally funded the reshaping of a 17-kilometer road in her constituency. The road stretches from Tweako 1 through Tweako 2, Bentilbo, Kwaw-Grumah and Navrongo populous cocoa growing communities in the constituency.

Due to the nature of the road, pupils had to trek to access basic education. Farm produce were also stuck in the bushes as a result of the deplorable condition of the road.

Motor cycles and tri-cycles and vehicles that hitherto conveyed foodstuffs most especially stopped making life unbearable for the farmers.

Following persistent appeals from the inhabitants to the Legislator to extend a hand of help, Dorcas Affo-Toffey toured and inspected the road.

The MP, after the tour, promised to do what she could to help put the road in good shape.

Interestingly, just after a week of the promise, the once deplorable road has now been reshaped and accessible to motorists.

The residents of the affected communities expressed gratitude to the MP for showing motherly love to them.
